 M4: The Only Constant Is Change – How To Navigate the Shifting Seas

  • Be trained in the ground conditions for effective organizational change;

M5: How Do I Protect the Asset and the Tenants?

This workshop is appropriate for property managers and program directors. Participants will learn how to perform a simple and practical risk analysis of their property and tenants. Attendees will also learn how to apply that knowledge to develop, evaluate, and document an overall loss-reduction strategy, including a fire and life safety plan to minimize those risks by combining the three “Es”: education, enforcement, and engineering solutions.

Presenter: Earl Diment, Chief Safety Officer, Pioneering Technology Corp.

M6: Project Development Case Studies

In this panel presentation, participants will learn how different housing societies have made use of available opportunities and have partnered to leverage funding and create innovative housing solutions for their communities.

Panelists: Karyn French, Executive Director, Pacifica Housing Advisory Association; Genesa Wheaton, Director of Resource Development, Union Gospel Mission; Annette Sharkey, Executive Director, Social Planning Council for the North Okanagan; and Genevieve Bucher, Senior Project Officer, BC Housing (Moderator)
