Strong Voice, Strong Sector - Celebrating 20 Years of Leadership, Support, and Advocacy for the Non-Profit Housing Sector in BC
The non-profit housing sector came together 20 years ago to create an Association dedicated to their needs, to protect and grow affordable housing in the province. BC Non-Profit Housing Association launched its first annual conference in 1993. Twenty years later the conference has grown to a three-day event, showcasing over sixty capacity building opportunities, and over seven hundred delegates. BCNPHA’s 20th Annual Conference and Tradeshow, to be held at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel in Richmond, will be a very special event to celebrate this landmark anniversary.
The BCNPHA conference typically draws delegates from a wide range of housing societies and organizations – small, large, urban and rural. The audience consists of (and is not limited to): board members; administrators, executive staff, front-line and support staff and volunteers, as well as government and private sector partners. Some are new to their positions, and some have been involved in non-profit housing for many years. In an effort to continue to meet and enhance our primary goal of serving BCNPHA’s members, we also attract housing researchers, students, and policy-makers who add further value to our mandate.
