  • Managing Major Repairs: A Manual for Assisted Housing Providers has useful information on identifying and assessing water penetration problems and on developing and implementing solutions. Call 1-800-668-2642 or 604-731-5733 to order this free manual.
  • Mold in Housing: An Information Kit for First Nations Communities. The first part contains basic information for occupants. The second part provides detailed technical information for dealing with mould. Very thorough. Call 1-800-668-2642 for this free document.

bullet Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association
ONPHA publishes two excellent handbooks for corrective maintenance:
  • Integrated Pest Management in Housing is a very thorough manual on best practices for pest management. Written by Sam Bryks, a Board Certified Entomologist with extensive experience in pest control in social housing.
  • The ONPHA Maintenance Planning Handbook has useful guidelines and forms for corrective maintenance in Chapter sections 1.1, 1.2, 1.6, 1.8, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 5.3.5, 5.3.7 to 5.3.9, and Appendices E, F, and S. (Note: ONPHA does not distinguish between "corrective" and "routine" maintenance.) A diskette comes with the manual and includes all forms and schedules.
